Thoughtful Thursday: Earth Month

This April Aveda will be celebrating Earth Month, and we just got our new Light the Way candles in!  For over 6 years, Aveda's Light the Way candle purchases and donations have raised over $6 million to help Global Greengrants fund hundreds of water projects like the one enjoyed in Madagascar, by the children who drew the cute artwork you can see on the candle packaging.

So, for every candle you buy you can:

• provide a year's supply of drinking water for a person living in Madagascar
• buy 8 meters of piping to transport drinking water in Morocco
• supply a year of water conservation, health and hygiene education for a family in India
• hire an activist to fight construction of a dam that would flood her community in Chile

Find Humor In Everything

There are often times when things get a little tough, a little sensitive and a little clumsy. I’ve always been told to look on the bright side of life. Never let anything drag you down, always try and find humor in everything. If you’re like me and can sometimes be a bit of a klutz, these words of advice come into light. I try not to let the silly things I do drag me down or hinder me because I know that if you have the capability to find humor in a difficult situation, you win. You come out on top and that’s always a nice feeling!
